Mariachi is a vocal and an instrumental ensemble specializing in Mexican folk music and composed of violins, trumpets, acoustic guitars, flutes, a guitarron, and vihuela. Join The Shedd’s Mariachi band & learn to play and perform on these traditional Mariachi instruments in an authentic Mariachi style including ranchera, son, and bolero. The class will familiarize students with beginning and intermediate level musical arrangements, recordings, and the rich musical traditions of Mexico! Performance opportunities will be provided.
