Always a blowout evening full of surprises, this year’s Opening Gala Concert will be another winner. Dick Hyman has put together a Gershwin musical review with excerpts from Lady Be Good, Porgy & Bess, Of Thee I Sing, Strike Up The Band and other unforgetable Gershwin Broadway & Hollywood musicals, including "Embraceable You", "Oh, Lady Be Good!", "‘S Wonderful", "I Got Rhythm", "It Ain’t Necessarily So", "Love Walked In" and many more! Also on the program will be a special jazz-blues arrangement of Rhapsody In Blue and other Gershwin classics performed by Dick’s Jazz Band, Jazz Orchestra, and the Festival chorus .
