Shedd Theatricals 2010
Bill Hulings
William Mark Hulings has graced OFAM productions since 2002, when he challenged a flight of stairs to a contest of wits as Bobby Child, and choreographed the fight scenes in OFAM’s production of Crazy For You. That same year he made a turn as a member of OFAM’s Emerald City Jazz Kings and in August 2003 he was Sky Masterson in OFAM's summer production of Guys and Dolls. In 2004 he created the role of Professor Higgins in OFAM's production of My Fair Lady and more recent years we have seen him as Billy Crocker in OFAM's production of the orginal Anything Goes (2005), Lt. Cable in South Pacific (2007), the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz (2008), and in 2009, Curly in Oklahoma and Bob Wallace in Irving Berlin's White Christmas. In 2007 Bill expanded his role in Oregon Festival of American Music beyond his theatrical work into concert performances, which he has continued to the present. He is also a regular guest with The Shedd's Emerald City Jazz Kings and periodic Christmas at The Shedd.

Other musical credits include: Frederick in A Little Night Music, Billy Bigelow in Carousel, and Bill Calhoun in Kiss Me Kate, as well as roles in Baby, Closer Than Ever, and The Merry Widow. Bill is proud to have performed with Eugene's Willamette Repertory Theatre in such productions as Blythe Spirit, The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged), Twelfth Night, Glass Menagerie, All in the Timing, and WRT's last produciton of Wild Oats.

Bill has worked extensively around the country with theatres such as The Guthrie Theatre; Seattle Rep.; The Studio Theatre and The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C.; Arizona Theatre Co.; GEVA; Shakespeare Santa Cruz; and The Acting Company (two national tours) in such roles as Prometheus in Prometheus Bound; Ferdinand in The Tempest; Orlando, Charles, and Silvius in As You Like It; Cassio in Othello; Benedic and Don John in Much Ado About Nothing; Paris and Fight Director in Romeo and Juliet; Sergius in Arms and the Man; Tom in Glass Menagerie; and the rival characters in The Illusion. Bill is a member of the Society of American Fight Directors, and has studied, taught, and choreographed stage combat in the U.S., Canada, and England. He holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from The Colorado College, and a M.F.A. in Theatre from The University of Minnesota. A native of Littleton, Colorado, Bill led the gypsy theatre life for many years until Jessica enticed him, happily, to come to Eugene.
