Mary Mikkelsen is a native Oregonian with over 20 years experience in costume design for local and regional opera, dance, and musical theatre companies. Mary has designed over seventy productions for opera, ballet and musical theater. She also has design and work credits in film, video and photography. She is pleased to be in her 8th season with the The Shedd, where she has designed Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes, Tom Sawyer, South Pacific, Babes in Arms, The Wizard of Oz, Brigadoon, Oklahoma!, White Christmas, The Boys from Syracuse, and Kiss Me, Kate. Her work has been reviewed in numerous national publications including Playbill and Opera News. Mary is the recipient of the 2001 Oregon Theater Awards Society (OTAS) award for Best Costume Design.
