Shedd Theatricals 2011
Tracy Williams
Although she is making her theatrical debut with The Shedd’s musical productions, Tracy is no stranger to the stage. She started performing in our community in the late ‘80s. You may recognize her from such roles as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Anne Egerman in A Little Night Music, Keely in Keely and Du, Fraulein Kost in Cabaret, Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense, Maggie in A Chorus Line, and Anita Merindino in Wrong Turn at Lung Fish. She was also seen in productions of My Fair Lady, The King And I, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Before moving to Los Angeles for 14 years in 1997, Tracy sang as a founding member with The Shedd’s own Emerald City Jazz Kings, having served with the group from 1996 and returning from L.A. periodically to perform through 1998. She recently joined the Jazz Kings again for their October show, Juke Box Saturday Night. In between her stand-up comedy gigs in Los Angeles Tracy appeared on such television programs as Friends, Living with Fran and Some of My Best Friends. A highlight for Tracy while in L.A. was working with Steven Spielberg on the film, Minority Report starring Tom Cruise. She is happy to be back in the Pacific Northwest and is thrilled to be making her theatrical debut since returning to Oregon from Los Angeles in September 2009
